Skills

Below you will find an overview of my skills. If you have any questions or you are missing a skill, please feel free to contact me.

Languages

My mother tongue is German, I speak and write English at C1 level and French at B1 level. I do not speak any other foreign language at the moment, but would like to change this in the future.

MS Office

My MS Office knowledge is very comprehensive, which you can see from my certificates. I enjoy working with Office and am always learning new tricks.

Quality Management

Through my work in quality management, I have deepened my training (FMEA, QFD, TQM, ISO 9001...), so that I have very good experience in this area and am well-versed in the methods of QM (e.g. 8D method, audits,...).

Teamwork

I am a team player and can integrate well into a new team. I quickly find my way into a collegial environment. I find teamwork very important in order to learn from those around me and to be able to support each other so that we can achieve bigger goals together.

Independent way of working

I like to take responsibility, have a high degree of independence and complete tasks without instructions to the complete satisfaction of my superiors. As a materials tester, I took on special tasks after only a short time (e.g. organising cleanliness analyses) and always carried them out very successfully.

Continuous improvement

In my last job, I contributed ideas, with the team and on my own, and thus contributed to a steady improvement in productivity. The chat bot can tell you more about the ideas I contributed. Ask for "Verbesserungen".

Materials science

Through my studies, I have a broad knowledge of all types of materials (metal, polymers, ceramics, glass, etc.). Through my work as a materials tester, I also have a very good understanding of the properties of metals and their heat treatment.

Test methods

in my studies and my professional career so far, I have already performed many destructive and non-destructive testing procedures and also know the theoretical background of the procedures (e.g.: various tensile, compression, torsion tests, metallography, eddy current, magnetic particle and ultrasonic testing).

Quality assurance

As a materials tester, I have worked in quality assurance and know the processes and methods in this area very well.

Programming

I already attended small computer science courses at school and in my studies and therefore have a good basic understanding of how programmes work. With a little time and patience, I can even manage to programme a chat bot.

Scientific work

During my studies, I learned a lot about scientific work and, in addition to my bachelor thesis, I also co-authored a publication in English (title: Carbon Nanoparticle-Reinforced Metal Matrix Composites: Mircostructural Tailoring and Predictive Modeling).

Metallography

My metallographic knowledge ranges from aluminium and nickel-based materials to various steels.

Mountain climbing

Mountains have fascinated me since I was a child and since then I have climbed quite a few mountains. My highlight was climbing the Rainbow Mountains in Peru at over 5000 metres.

Football

I have been playing football for SV Rohrbach for over 20 years. In my youth I played in the Verbandsliga, but due to my studies and my work I have cut back on the demands of the sport and currently play in the reserve team.

Cooking & Baking

Since I no longer live at home, I cook fresh food every day with my girlfriend. We only bake on special occasions, otherwise we would eat too much cake.
